New City, New Format, New Partner: NERCT returns in October 2017

It is with great pleasure that we announce the return of the Nigeria Emergency Response and Counter-Terrorism Workshop (NERCT) for a 4th edition in 2017. Buoyed by our new partner Unilag Consult Ltd of the University of Lagos, NERCT will be held for the first time in Nigeria’s metropolis on October 11-12, 2017. Also for the first time, NERCT organisers made a “call for papers” that will allow practitioners and researchers to present their work to a larger public. As with previous NERCT editions, the workshop will thrive to contribute practical, usable solutions to the massive insecurity issues that plague Nigeria today. NERCT 2016 only 10 days away!

The organizers of NERCT 2016 are finalizing the preparations for this year’s edition in Abuja, for what promises to be the largest NERCT yet. Programs, participant material and exhibitor logistics are being completed to ensure that all visitors and participants can maximize their enjoyment of the event. Speakers at this year’s event include representatives of the Nigerian government, various Nigerian security organisations such as the NPF and NSCDC, or civilian institutions such as FAAN and the University of Lagos.
